People copying things is new?! Never heard of that, come on, everything is copied nowadays, but that doesn't say a copy of something is worse than the original. I enjoyed watching The Man...

Last week I saw 'Everything is illuminated', a very interesting movie with Elijah Woods, who apparantly played in Lord of the rings, which I refuse to watch, but I saw him in Green Street Hooligans.

Anyway, back to 'Everything is illuminated'; the movie starts with some footage of a Jew as a collector, than quickly changes to a Ukranian family, this piece is very funny, while the rest of the movie is quite serious. Overall I was positively surprised by the quality, I would rate it 7/10.

I saw South Park Movie (again) and Four Brothers, both on DVD. My friends preferred South Park, which I will say is pretty funny. But I thought Four Brothers was pretty good too

Ofcourse!

Yesterday saw Under Siege 2. I don't know why, but several DVD's with Steven Seagal suddenly appeared in my DVD-collection.

Basically it's very easy to categorise movies with him as the main character. He is always an ex-SEAL or something like that, he always prefers martial-arts over guns and he always dislikes authority. Oh well, fun for the action if you're bored...

Probably the wrong topic to post this in, but consider this to be a warning;

DO NEVER (and I really mean never) watch snitch in New York!!! Definately the worst movie I ever saw, I give it a 1 out of 10 rating. The story sucks, the directing of the movie sucks and the acting is worst of all, 1 hour and 23 minutes of wasted time...

Well, up to me once again to keep this topic alive.

Yesterday I saw inside man. Although the reviews where already positive I was surprised Denzel Washington could play in such a good movie. From the first moment it was obvious it was not a regular bank robbery, but the end is very unexpected. I liked it very much...

Just saw Chaos, I must admit the movie had more depth than I expected. It wasn't a normal action movie like you'd expect from Jason Statham and Wesley Snipes. All the time you're being pointed in the wrong directions. This made the movie kind of long, it kept going on and on, while I already found out how it would end before it ended, you just felt something 'surprising' was going to happen.... and it did.

7/10 though...

I saw scarface about a week ago, I really enjoyed it and after Watching back to back Godfathers part 1.2.3 it really put me in the mood for it.

Actually as a kid I never really enjoyed the Godfathers but as I've gotten a little order I really liked it and appreciated it more.

Yes I did. I must say I liked the first one better, it was much more realistic. Now there were too many strange creatures throughout the movie, while in the first it took a while to discover the 'secret' of the crew. Also Johnny Depp's acting (on which the movie lives ofcourse, although we shouldn't forget to mention Keira Knightley's charming face) was much better in the first one. Now the character of ct. Jack Sparrow is overdone...

I woiuld rate it 6/10, certainly with this annoying to be continued end....

I saw Fuhrer Ex yesterday. One of those typical B-movies which are never widely recognised as top-films while being very good.

Ofcourse the subject makes the story very interesting already, we don't see this kind of stories often from Hollywood, usually from the smaller countries, now Germany.

The movie is about two friends from East-Germany in 1986 who decide to escape from the East, surely they get caught and all kinds of things happen to them in prison. After they get out (both in their own way) they have changed so much that it seems like they have become eachother.

My rating: 8/10

Yesterday saw a DVD of Tim Allen, a theatre comedy show before Home improvement. It had some funny stuff, but mostly was a bit too much of the same we saw in home inprovement...
