Sir Alex moves up a gear
Sir Alex Ferguson has had his office decorated with car parts.
The Manchester United boss shares post-match drinks with rival managers in the office.
The room now has sofas made out of car seats, rear-view mirrors in walls and gearstick coat hangers.
The floor also incorporates the logo of the club's sponsor Audi.
Even the dug-out next to the Old Trafford pitch has red rally seats.
Work started three months ago after Sir Alex asked a young design firm to come up with an Audi-theme.
According to the Sun Sir Alex said: "These young lads' design is unbelievable. I've got gear sticks for coat hangers, car seats for sofas - and they've even interwoven football panels from Nike into my door."
Jam Designs said before they got to work the old suite "was dilapidated and looked like it hadn't seen much love".
A club source said: "I'd love to be a fly on the wall when rival managers see what Sir Alex has done - it could start a trend."
