Hertha Berlin gave Wolfsburg the shock of their lives by handing them a resounding 5-1 victory in front of their own home crowd. With the victory Hertha Berlin can now hope for a survival. The win was possible largely due to Theofanis Gekas’s hat trick.
Wolfsburg looked lethargic on the field and their four win streak was ended as Berlin inflicted defeat on the home side. The victory was only the fourth for the visitors in the entire season.

Hertha Berlin’s hopes of avoiding relegation were dealt a severe blow when they wasted a first half lead to go down in stoppage time against the visiting Nurnberg.
Hertha were in the lead in the 36th minute as Theofanis Gekas put them ahead with a superb effort but his side could not keep building the pressure until Albert Bunjaku leveled things for the visitors in the 61st minute.
The crowd was literally left shocked in the final minutes of stoppage time as Angelos Charisteas drove his side home with a winner.
